What paperwork do you require for customs clearance?
We would need a copy of the freight waybill plus commercial invoices and any supporting documents.
Do I need to arrange to collect my shipment once customs cleared?
We can arrange the airline collection and delivery if requested.
Will I need to make contact with the relevant airline?
Initially you will have to contact the airline to nominate us as your clearing agent.
Do I need to be VAT registered to import goods into the UK?
This is not necessary but you will need to be EORI registered.
How do I become EORI registered?
You will need to apply to customs at www.hmrc.gov.uk and follow the links.
How can I make payment to customs for any duty or VAT applicable?
You can make use of our customs deferment account, terms upon request or you can make payment by CHAPS direct to customs.
Will I need to pay the airline directly for their charges?
No, this is billed directly to us through the CASS system.
